Nina Dodd's studio is located in beautiful Porkkala - a peninsula in Kirkkonummi stretching into the gulf of Finland, yet only a 30-minute drive from Helsinki. Situated 200 meters away from the seaside with background choices of Finland at its best : pine trees, rocks, fields, old country roads and beautiful rock faces.

The cosy, 45 square meter studio is a rebuilt 100-year-old log sauna. The building has received new outside paneling with a terrace, but left inside are the hundred-year-old log walls which can also be used as a background. Other than this, there is a good selection of backround materials in different colors and patterns alongside old paraphernalia such as an antique wooden sofa, rustic chairs and toys.

How to get there
From Helsinki: drive west on Länsiväylä, over Kivenlahti bridge, past Kehä III turn-off until a sign pointing to the left: Porkkalan niemi. Drive on Porkkalantie road for 9,8 kms, Värströmintie road turns to left. Drive on Värströmintie road for 2,6 kms, turn left at the 260 sign. Studio is located on top of the hill at the end of the road.
